Postal voting allowed for NRIs

Indian expatriate voters allowed to vote by postal ballot The Central Election Commission (CEC) has informed the government that it will give its nod in the forthcoming assembly elections.
The Election Commission has informed the Legal Department that technically and administratively the electronically transmitted ballot system can also be provided to NRI voters.
This will be possible in the Assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Elections will be held in April and May 2021.
It is estimated that about one crore Indians live abroad. Of these, 60 lakh are eligible to vote. Currently, only service voters can use the electronically transmitted ballot system. Postal ballots will be sent via email first using this system. Then you have to print it, register the vote and return it by post.
